PAS LLC won a large federally funded project for the City of Cedar Rapids utilizing CBDG funds to abate and demolish flood damaged structures in the 2008 flood. Project was $2.5M and included 35 Commercial structures and 105 Residential Structures
Total interior demolition, asbestos abatement and replacement of structural fireproofing on 19 floors, ranging from 28,000 feet to 46,000 square feet.
- Simultaneous work on multiple floors requiring upwards of 100 workers per shift.
- Removal of all interior partition walls and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing components.
- Removal of an average of 4,800 to 5,500 bags of asbestos-containing fireproofing.
Following asbestos abatement, PAS LLC project management team worked closely with the City of Cedar Rapids and the contracted demolition team to seamlessly turn over each structure to be demolished. Our team then worked with the City to provide all documentation that is federally required to finalize and close out the project.
This project took PAS LLC’s dedicated workforce and multiple project managers to seamlessly work on both residential and commercial structures at the same time, to meet the deadlines set by the city and the federal funding source to complete the required work in time.
This project shows PAS LLC’s ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
